New Fitness Center at 940 12th Street, Syracuse Open 24/7   group Aux on FC equip pedalling

CMH is proud to announce that the Fitness Center moved to a new location at 940 12th Street (former Dollar General location) in Syracuse effective May 2, 2014.  The organization is excited to have invested approximately $400,000 into the location to create a new, updated Fitness Center. The idea of moving the Fitness Center to another site proved beneficial for many reasons.  Some of the positive impacts include: a very positive financial impact to the organization by increasing hospital space, improved hospital security, improved privacy for hospital patients, and the opportunity to expand hospital services. Previously, the Fitness Center occupied a large amount of hospital space and costs which are not Medicare reimbursable. Converting this space to patient care areas will increase Medicare reimbursement for the hospital, as well as give the hospital needed space to grow current and new service lines to offer to our patients.

The new location offers a walking track, a group exercise room with special flooring, and a weight area along with cardio equipment space.  CMH also purchased some new fitness equipment to compliment the new facility. The new location offers easier access for the general public and has a more efficient layout of space.

The Fitness Center is fortunate to have been able to start at the hospital location nearly 16 years ago, but look forward to the new Fitness Center.
